Sant Cugat del Vallès, 31 October 2024. Last Friday 25 October saw the opening of Tembo Family Brunch, an innovative space designed to offer a leisure and gastronomic experience in a family environment. Located at Carrer Sant Bartomeu 9, in the centre of Sant Cugat, this new venue offers 250 m² of space dedicated to fun, of which 150 m² are designed as a children's play area, combining a large play area with a café serving a brunch menu for adults and children.
The opening ceremony was attended by Albert Salarich, Sant Cugat City Councillor for Enterprise and Innovation, who welcomed the new establishment, highlighting that "it is a quality offer with spacious and child-friendly facilities". Salarich also expressed his satisfaction at the incorporation of this new space in the city, celebrating its arrival and its commitment to family entertainment and inclusion.
Safe and sustainable design for children
Kay Little, Co-CEO of Tembo Family Club, highlighted the space's approach:
"It's a place where the whole family can enjoy. Families can come and have a coffee or an avocado toast while the children play in a safe environment. We also offer the possibility of renting the space for birthdays and events, creating a meeting point for the community of Sant Cugat".
The play area is characterised by its wooden structure and natural materials that not only provide a warm and cosy atmosphere, but also ensure a safe and sustainable space.
"Tembo is different from typical toy libraries, as each element is made of natural materials, encouraging children to interact with the toys and structures in an organic and safe way".
Cèlia Arroyo, also Co-CEO of Tembo Family Club, announced their proposed activities, which will include storytelling, clown performances and magic shows, to name but a few.
"We want to offer a varied programme that encourages creativity and learning through play. We encourage all families to follow us on social networks to be informed of all the activities we will be organising".
Timetables and services available
After the inauguration, Tembo Family Brunch will open to the public next Monday, 11 November. Its opening hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with toy library and cafeteria service. On Thursdays it will be closed, although it will offer the possibility of renting the space for parties in the afternoons, from 17:00 to 19:00 hours or from 17:30 to 19:30 hours. On Fridays, the venue can also be booked for dinners, and on Saturdays it will be available for parties and events throughout the day, with a maximum duration of 3 hours per celebration. On Sundays, the opening hours will be from 9:00 to 15:30, also with a games room and cafeteria service.
